I lost a tough one with the Braves on Thursday afternoon. Atlanta took a 10-4 lead into the 9th inning and managed to lose 11-10. Friday night's opener at San Francisco figures to be a much different type of game. Schwellenbach gets the call for the visitors. Over his past two starts, he's recorded 22 K's (11 and 11) without walking a single batter. Over 13 ⅓ innings, he allowed just two total runs. Birdsong (2.37 ERA) is also in fine current form. He delivered 5 ⅓ innings of 1-run ball last time out. In seven home appearances (one start) he's got a superb 1.29 ERA. Schwellenbach's last start finished with five runs while Birdsong's last three starts have all finished with six or less. Expect another relatively low-scoring affair.

THE PLAY: Total Under 1.5 (-155)

Many of this week's fights are expected to be pretty one-sided. There are some good O/U opportunities though. The light heavyweight belt between Brendson “The Gorilla” Ribeiro and Azamat “The Professional” Murzakanov may not last long. Murzakanov, a heavy favorite, is a 36-year old Russian with a 14-0 record. Off a second round KO victory, five of his last six wins have come by KO/TKO. Ribeiro is off a second round submission victory. Before that, six of his previous eight fights ended in the first round. Notably, three of Ribeiro's last four losses have been first round KO/TKO's. I'm expecting another first KO/TKO.
