THE PLAY: Total Under 140.5 (-105)

2% The Citadel/Davidson Under (7:00 ET): The Citadel is among the “motley crew” of teams (Oregon, Fairleigh Dickinson, Jacksonville State, UTEP, Rider) that have yet to cover a single pointspread this season. The Bulldogs are one of only three teams to be 0-6 ATS or worse (Oregon, FDU). There is no sugarcoating that they are one of the worst College Basketball teams in the country (I have them power rated in the bottom five). But I do give them a shot at covering tonight at Davidson, an opponent that’s probably not deserving of this price range (#2 in luck rating). We’ve actually seen some early money come in on the dog. However, I think the better bet is to play the Under.

Neither of these teams play fast. The Citadel is 326th in adjusted tempo while Davidson is 295th. While it is concerning to see The Citadel second to last in adjusted defensive rating over at KenPom, their slow pace means they won’t give up a ton of points. In fact, they’ve held four straight opponents to 72 points or fewer! Why I ultimately didn’t want to take the points here is because The Citadel’s offensive numbers are beyond putrid. They are shooting just 48.5% from two-point range, 29.7% from three and 64.9% from the FT line.

So unless Davidson goes wild, this game is likely to stay Under the total. The Wildcats did just go “wild” in their most recent game, shooting 56% from the field and blowing out North Carolina A&T 90-74 as 13.5-point chalk. However, that’s an A&T team that plays fast and can get to the FT line. The previous two games, while against superior competition in Boston College and Utah State, saw Davidson average only 59.5 points. They’re likely to clear that number here, but there’s a good chance the pace of this game dies when you’re talking about a double digit second half lead. Especially since Davidson has St. Mary’s on deck. 2% The Citadel/Davidson Under (Play to 136.5)

THE PLAY: 2-Team, 6-Point Teaser: Jets +8.5 and Jaguars +7.5

This is the most logical “Wong Teaser" for Sunday's NFL card.

Miami has won three in a row. But even with the recent “resurgence,” I don't think they can be trusted to win by margin on the road. Three of the Dolphins' five wins this season have been by six points or fewer. They've won just twice away from home and one of those was over in Europe against the Commanders (by three). Last week, they failed to cover as a five-point home favorite against the Saints. When the Dolphins and Jets met earlier this season, in Miami, the ‘Fins closed -2.5 at home (won 27-21). Now they’re laying the same number on the road? The Jets have actually covered five in a row, going 3-2 SU in that stretch. They have the top ranked special teams in the league by DVOA. Tyrod Taylor (7-0-1 ATS L8 starts) is an upgrade over Justin Fields at QB. This should end up being a close game, no matter which AFC East side prevails.

Heading over to AFC South, I think teasing the Jags up through the key numbers of 3 and 7 is a smart move as well. They have all the momentum right now, following three consecutive wins. The Colts have lost three of four with the only win coming in Europe against the Falcons and that required overtime. Shockingly, Jacksonville is 16-3-1 ATS vs. Indy since 2015 including 7-1 here at home. My power ratings make the Jags a slight favorite in this one. So teasing them feels like a great value.
