THE PLAY: Jakob Poeltl (TOR) Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds vs Indiana
The Raptors go for their ninth-straight win tonight at home against a struggling Pacers team that is 2-15 overall and 0-9 on the road this season. We’re going to look at Raptors center Jakob Poeltl over 21.5 points + rebounds in this matchup. The Pacers have given up the sixth-most points and fourth-most rebounds per game to opposing centers this season. Poeltl is averaging 22.4 points + rebounds over his last five games, and that sample size includes a blow-out win over Washington where he only needed to play 19 minutes. In three games against the Pacers last season, Poeltl averaged 29 points + rebounds per game. In the first meeting between these squads two weeks ago, he finished with 22 points and nine rebounds. Indiana is playing at a top-10 pace this season but the Pacers' shooting has been rough so there should be plenty of opportunities for him to clean the glass and score in the paint.
