      THE PLAY: Seattle Storm +5.5 (-110)

      Seattle’s road-tested squad looks to continue its stingy defense when it visits the Liberty in Brooklyn. In their last meeting without Jonquel Jones, Nekka Ogwumike bullied New York for 26 points on 12-of-17 shooting, with most attempts coming from in the paint and midrange. With Jones still sidelined, New York’s interior defense and rebounding rate remain vulnerable, while Seattle enters off a clutch win by Skylar Diggins and has forced 20 turnovers in their prior head-to-head. The Storm rank among the league’s best at creating extra possessions on the road and should exploit Brooklyn’s weakened paint coverage again.

      Meanwhile, the Liberty are bringing Leonie Fiebich back at the wing spot but remain just 1-8-1 ATS over their last ten outings, a slide that highlights their recent struggles to cover speedier opponents. Though Fiebich’s return bolsters perimeter defense, she cannot fully offset the absence of Jones, and New York’s reliance on the three-ball plays into Seattle’s top-rated road 3-point defense.
