THE PLAY: Los Angeles Chargers +3.5 (-110)

Much of betting the NFL is playing the number, and we’ll do just that here with an ugly dog catching over a field goal at home. We have a Chargers team that’s beyond desperation mode at 0-4, but has shown the ability to play well. LA had every opportunity to beat the Bills in Buffalo just a few weeks back. We’ve also seen Denver’s offense really struggle as well. Bo Nix is a mistake prone quarterback with terrible metrics, and many may be surprised to learn that this Denver defense, which has such a reputation for being elite, comes in at just 23^rd in the league in EPA per play thus far. I’ll take LA to cover this number at over a field goal. Take the Chargers.
