THE PLAY: Cleveland Guardians +108 Action

Riding the red hot Cleveland side on Friday night, winners of 7 straight and 13 of their last 14 games overall. Now right in the hunt in the American League playoff race I think the Guardians win this one against a reeling Minnesota ball club.

Minnesota is way out of the playoffs and have lost each of their last two games, giving up 10 runs in each. The Twins bullpen has been taxed, combined with their starter Pablo Lopez not going deep into games and the organization is likely not to overwork his right arm with the post season out of reach.

Cleveland starter Parker Messick has been terrific going (3-0) with a sub 2 ERA. The rookie drafted out of Florida State has a stellar (22 to 4) strikeout to walk rate on the season. Ride the hot and fade the cold for Friday's free pick- Bet Cleveland.
