THE PLAY: Edmonton Oilers -130
The last two Canadian teams remaining, the Canucks and Oilers are meeting in the playoffs for the first time since 1992 and only the third time ever. The Canucks are playing at home, thanks to having the better record. They swept the Oilers in the regular season. Yet, Edmonton is favored. There are several reasons for that. Edmonton is more talented on paper and led by perhaps the best player in the world. The Oilers struggled out of the gate, before changing coaches and catching fire. Three of Vancouver's four h2h wins came before they did do. Additionally, the Canucks remain without their top goalie. While he'll very likely be just fine, it's also worth mentioning that Vancouver's best player (Pettersson) missed Tuesday's practice with an illness. The Canucks' regular season success doesn't count for anything tonight. Oilers grab Game 1.
