From that point forward, a couple of late goals notwithstanding, things turned more defensive. The second period was scoreless. Through two periods, Carolina only had 12 shots. I expect the improved defensive play which was shown from the second period on, to carry over into Tuesday's game. The last regular season meeting had a final score of 1-0. Both Shesterkin and Anderson are extremely capable goalies. Each was red hot down the stretch and in the first round. Prior to Sunday, the last three times that they had faced each other, the scores were 2-1, 2-1 and 3-2. I'm expecting a slower start to lead to a low-scoring affair.
