Andy Lang
(529) Minnesota Timberwolves at (530) Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets have been relying on their closing prowess so far in the playoffs, and why not? It's the best closing lineup in the NBA as Jokic, Murray, Porter, and Gordon are in sync and they know how to get the win late in the game. However, it's resulted in them not covering spreads in the first half or even winning the ML in the first half. The Lakers were ahead at halftime in every game of the series despite losing 4-1, and the Wolves have the same recipe for early success in the games. Anthony Edwards is playing at an elite level, they have the defense to clog up Denver with Gobert and McDaniels, and their bench is fine with Reid, Anderson, and Alexander. The Wolves were ahead at halftime in the last 2 games against Denver, and with the injury to Jamal Murray I can see more slow starts for Denver in this series.
