2% Take LA Dodgers – Atlanta OVER (action)

The Dodgers and Braves have the two most potent offenses in baseball.  They rank #1 and #2 in runs scored per game; #1 and #2 in OPS as well – there’s nothing fraudulent about those top tier run production numbers.  40 year old Charlie Morton had two starts against the Dodgers last year.  He got bombed for six runs in five innings in one of those starts, and allowed nine baserunners and threw 90 pitches in four innings of work in the other start.  I’m not convinced he’s going to eat up innings here; the Braves bullpen behind him is ‘middle of the pack’ in early season play. LA starter Gavin Stone is coming off a season high pitch count and he’s allowing baserunners in bunches.  The Dodgers bullpen behind him is dealing with injuries; at least part of the reason why they are 11-3-1 to the Over in 15 previous games at Dodgers Stadium this season.  Expect more of the same tonight, a bet worth making even if we see a late starting pitching scratch (action wager)!  Take the Dodgers – Braves OVER
