NBA Player Prop for Tuesday, October 28
Davion Mitchell (MIA) Over 7.5 Assists vs Charlotte
Both the Hornets and Heat are running at a top-3 pace so far on this young season. Davion Mitchell has averaged 8.3 assists per game so far and the Hornets have allowed an average of 12.3 assists per game to opposing point guards, which is fifth-most among all teams. In three head-to-head matchups last season, Mitchell averaged seven assists per game against the Hornets but he’s seeing plenty more opportunities thus far in 2025. Miami leads the league in fast break scoring and the Hornets’ defense leaves a lot to be desired in that department. Look for Mitchell to be the main facilitator tonight, notching over 7.5 assists at a plus-money price at home against Charlotte.
NBA Betting Trends for Tuesday, October 28
#541 Philadelphia 76ers at #542 Washington Wizards
The Sixers have won seven of the last eight meetings, with Washington’s lone win coming in March. During that eight-game span, the Sixers have scored an average of 124.9 points per game against the Wizards. Philadelphia is on the second leg of a back-to-back after beating Orlando at home on Monday. The Sixers are off to a 3-0 start with all three of those games going over the total.
#543 Charlotte Hornets at #544 Miami Heat
Miami has won seven of the last eight meetings, with the Hornets’ lone win coming in March as a nine-point road ‘dog. Five of the last six meetings have stayed under the total. Both teams are on equal rest after having last played on Sunday. This will be Miami’s first game as a favorite this season after the Heat covered the spread in their first three games as an underdog, including two outright upset wins. Charlotte is also 3-0 against the spread this season with all three of the Hornets’ games going over the total.
#545 Sacramento Kings at #546 Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City has won-and-covered each of the last five meetings. The Thunder won last year’s trio of games by an average of 23.7 points per game. Oklahoma City is on the second leg of a back-to-back after winning in Dallas on Monday night. The 101-94 final score was probably a little flattering for Dallas because the Mavericks never held a lead in that contest and Oklahoma City was up by 22 at one point.
#547 New York Knicks at #548 Milwaukee Bucks
The Knicks have won-and-covered each of the last five meetings in this series, with four of those five games going over the total. Giannis Antetokounmpo did play in all three games last year, so the Bucks were pretty close to the version that we’ll see on the court on Tuesday. Both teams are on equal rest after having last played on Sunday. The Bucks are 3-0 against the spread this season while the Knicks dropped their first game in Miami over the weekend.
#549 Los Angeles Clippers at #550 Golden State Warriors
The Clippers have gone 7-0 straight-up, 6-1 against the spread in this Western Conference clash since December 2023. Three of the four meetings last year stayed under the total, and the lone game that went over the total saw 21 points scored in overtime. Golden State is on the second leg of a back-to-back after handling Memphis on Monday night at home. The Warriors’ first four games have all gone over the total.
