NBA Championship Odds: +600
Pacific Division Odds: +205
Regular Season Win Total: 51.5 (o -115 / u -105)
Opening Night: -6 vs Los Angeles Lakers (o/u 227)

Steph Curry capped off a historic playoff run (only six losses in four rounds!) by bringing home his first NBA Playoff MVP and fourth NBA Championship trophy. Curry joins an exclusive list of hall of fame and future hall of fame players with those in their trophy cabinet.

Klay Thompson rounded into the form he was in before an injury that forced him to miss over a year-and-a-half of play.

Rockin’ Ryan Rollins

The Warriors have always been great at finding NBA Draft steals, including names like Draymond Green, Jordan Poole and Kevon Looney. Former Toledo Rocket Ryan Rollins hopes to join that group of names with the Warriors taking him in the second round at pick No. 44 in this past year’s draft.

He showed vast improvement during his two years at Toledo, bumping his scoring from 13.7 to 18.9 points per game, as well as his field goal percentage from 49-percent to 53-percent.

He won’t be expected to do much scoring in his first year, playing behind other bench guards including Poole, Moses Moody and newly-acquired Donte DiVincenzo.

Moody was able to get quality playing time as a rookie last season and Golden State hopes to figure Rollins in the mix some how throughout the season.

Former NBA Champ Fills Bench Guard Void

The Warriors were enjoying a relatively quiet offseason as they tried to maintain their championship-winning core. Well, that was until Draymond Green and Jordan Poole decided to spice things up, but that’s a totally different story.

The Warriors lost a critical role player in Gary Payton II, but in typical Golden State fashion, they filled that void right away in signing DiVincenzo. The former Villanova star spent almost all of his career on the Milwaukee Bucks, winning a championship with them in the 2020-21 season. He won’t be the high-flying dunker that Payton II was, but he brings all the tools needed to fit this Warriors team.

During his time with the Kings last season, he averaged over two three-pointers made per game along with 1.5 steals and 10.3 points per game. The Warriors shouldn’t skip a beat in losing Payton II and signing DiVincenzo to a two-year, $9.3 million deal.

Golden State Warriors 2022-23 Season Outlook

Assuming Green and Poole remain in good standing following their skirmish, the Warrions will enter the 2022-23 season with the same starting lineup that won them the championship last season.

Golden State will also add James Wiseman to the mix after he missed all of last season due to a knee injury. Wiseman was the second pick in the 2020 NBA draft and is expected to have a break-out season.

Look for the Warriors to be in the mix once again to win the NBA Championship, given everyone stays healthy which seems to be the weakness of this team. Curry missed 18 games last season while Thompson missed 50 and Green skipped 36 games. As you know though, they were able to overcome those injuries last season.

Golden State Warriors Projected Starting Five

PG: Steph Curry
SG: Klay Thompson
SF: Andrew Wiggins
PF: Draymond Green
C: Kevon Looney
