2025 PFL 7 Tournament Predictions

Rafael Xavier -170 vs Karl Albrektsson +140

Albrektsson is stepping back into the cage just seven weeks after getting brutally knocked out with elbows—a quick turnaround that raises red flags, especially given his known cardio issues.

He tends to fade hard after the first round. Xavier, on the other hand, brings consistent pressure, solid cardio across three rounds, and much cleaner striking.

He just went the distance in a close split decision loss to Simeon Powell, a high-level opponent. As long as Xavier stays off the fence  and avoids the clinch early, he should take over and pull away late. Xavier is the play.

Oleg Popov -225 vs Rodrigo Nascimento +175

This projects to be a low-output, grind-it-out heavyweight fight with minimal fireworks. Popov will likely lean on his wrestling to control position, while Nascimento will try to keep range with kicks and avoid being dragged to the mat.

Neither fighter is a big finisher, and both tend to fight at a slower pace. Rather than picking a side in what could be a dull, position-heavy affair, the better option is to take this fight to go the distance.

Biaggio Ali Walsh -1200 vs Ronnie Gibbs +700

Don’t overthink this one — this is a setup fight. The PFL continues to build up Biaggio Ali  Walsh carefully, matching him with low-level opponents to develop his skills and rack up wins.

Walsh is still raw, but he has a massive edge in striking and athleticism. Gibbs will likely shoot  for takedowns, but he doesn’t have the skill or strength to hold Walsh down. Eventually, Walsh  finds the chin. Play it the only way that makes sense: Walsh by KO.

Valentin Moldavsky -225 vs Alexandr Romanov +180

Romanov hasn’t evolved — he’s still the same plodding, one-round-or-bust heavyweight who struggles with conditioning and has minimal striking polish.

He may have won his PFL debut, but it came against Tim Johnson, who’s far from elite and barely active as a full-time fighter.

Moldavsky is smaller but significantly quicker, much sharper on the feet, and has the cardio to  take over late. If this gets out of the first round, it’s Moldavsky’s fight all day. Great value here  — Moldavsky at -180 is a gift.

Dalton Rosta -130 vs Aaron Jeffery +100

Rosta looks like he’s on another level physically and brings serious power and athleticism into every fight. He submitted Sy back in April — an impressive feat — while Jeffery barely edged out a split decision against him.

Jeffery’s tough, but he’s not going to match Rosta’s explosiveness or strength. Rosta should have the edge in both striking and grappling exchanges, and unless he gasses or makes a huge mistake, he likely controls this fight start to finish. Rosta is the pick.

Raufeon Stots -190 vs Sergio Pettis +155

Pettis seems to be plateauing — two straight MMA losses and a boxing defeat in 2023 suggest he’s no longer evolving.

He’s well-rounded but doesn’t have a standout skillset, and at this point, he looks like a fighter collecting paychecks rather than chasing titles.

Stots is 36, but still active, explosive, and has legit finishing ability. He’s the more dangerous and motivated fighter here, and should push the pace and take over. Stots is the pick.

Phil Davis -395 vs Sullivan Cauley +310

Cauley is a live underdog in this spot. His wrestling could pose real problems for Davis, who is  solid everywhere but aging and not as explosive as he once was.

Davis is coming off a KO win, but that was against Rob Wilkinson, who hasn’t looked the same since his suspension.

While Davis is the more experienced and well-rounded fighter, Cauley’s grappling and toughness make  him a threat to grind out a decision. The price on Davis is steep, and Cauley has enough tools to make this one interesting. Live dog.

2025 PFL Tournament 7 Main Event: Fabian Edwards vs Josh Silveira

This line has gotten out of control, and that opens the door for value on Silveira. Edwards is a  sharp striker, but his volume is low and he’s often content to fight off the back foot.

He had a highlight KO over Impa, but he was losing the clinch battle before landing that shot. Silveira is a  strong wrestler and can win minutes if he dominates the clinch and grappling exchanges.

His cardio isn’t great, but Edwards doesn’t force a high pace, which gives Silveira a real shot in a close fight. At this price, Silveira is absolutely worth a sprinkle.
