Gunnar Henderson let us down last night, but he has another matchup where he’s thrived in the short term while going 1-3 with a home run against Bryan Woo.

The Seattle starter is coming off one of his worst outings of the season where he allowed 5 earned runs on 9 hits across 6.1 innings pitched against the Detroit Tigers. 

The Mariners bullpen may be due for some regression as they rank 7th in ERA but 13th in xFIP since May 1st. I fully expected much more from Henderson in 2026, but the power numbers have been there (13 HR), and he’s recorded at least one HRR in 9 of his last 11 games (3+ 4/L11).

The Baltimore shortstop has thrived at home where he’s cleared this line in 56% of his games compared to only 46% of his games on the road.

Camden Yards is always a great hitting environment and tonight we have wind blowing out at about 10 mph. There is potential rain, but a rainout would just be a voided ticket and if we can dance through the raindrops the humidity should make this game more hitter friendly.
