MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Josh Naylor (SEA) UNDER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI at LA Angels (-102)

Josh Naylor is one of three key Seattle Mariner sluggers who have struggled out of the gate after participating in the World Baseball Classic while going 1-27 (.037) with a single and five strikeouts in the process. Naylor has yet to log an RBI or run scored so no surprise, he’s gone 0-7 in clearing this HRR line.

Now Naylor has to deal with Reid Detmers who he’s gone 2-10 (.200) against with three strikeouts. Detmers wasn’t very sharp in his first outing of the 2026 campaign against the Houston Astros as he allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits across 4.2 innings of work. However, it was encouraging that Detmers didn’t allow a single free pass while striking out 9 batters.

This is Naylor’s first road game and getting out of Seattle may help him get back on track. However, I’m fading him until he proves me wrong especially in a batter vs pitcher matchup that he’s struggled with in the past.

MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Juan Soto (NYM) OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI at San Francisco (-120)

Juan Soto has covered this line in each of his last five games and in 6/7 games on the season while landing on one HRR exactly in the lone game where he fell short.

Now Soto gets another opportunity to feast on Tyler Mahle who he’s gone 4-11 (.364) against with two home runs and a double. Mahle did pitch very well at home last season but he’s coming off a mediocre start where he allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits across 4 innings of work against the New York Yankees.

Mahle relies heavily on a fastball that he’s thrown on 61.4% of his pitches and Soto has posted a barrel-rate at close to 20% against that pitch. Soto has also had success against multiple San Francisco Giants relievers in a short sample size including Ryan Walker (2-5 2HR), Keaton Winn (1-4 HR), Ryan Borucki (1-1) and Blade Tidwell (1-1).

Soto is projected to bat second on the road where he will be guaranteed a full 9 innings of at-bats and he already beat this line in the first game of this series.
