MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Coby Mayo (BAL) +390

We have a very shortened slate for Monday in the MLB so we’re heading to Baltimore to take Coby Mayo and his home run props with the Orioles looking to bounce back from two straight shutout losses to the Brewers.

Trey Yesavage comes off the IL to start for the Blue Jays with five of his last seven home runs allowed coming on the road. Yesavage has allowed five of his ten total home runs this season to right handed hitters with Mayo slugging .506 at home compared to slugging .443 on the road.

Over the last 15 days Mayo is batting .280 and slugging .660 including five home runs. Since the all-star break he’s slugging .571 compared to a .395 slugging percentage before the break.

All-time Mayo is 2-5 against Yesavage with a home run that came back on June 5th and is also 2-3 with two home runs against Blue Jays reliever Braydon Fisher.

Although the Orioles are out of post season contention, look for Mayo to finish out his breakout season strong this week as we’ll take his home run props at +390 odds on Monday at home against Toronto. Other Orioles to consider for home run props today are Pete Alonso (+340) and Samuel Basallo (+420).

MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Kody Clemens (MIN) +420

The Twins are now out of playoff contention entering the last week of the MLB season but they’ve enjoyed the breakout of Kody Clemens this season who now has 26 home runs which is seven more than his previous season high set last season.

The Twins and Giants start up a three-game set in San Francisco tonight with righty Blade Tidwell taking the mound for the home team. Tidwell has been pretty good over his past couple outings but he has allowed a home run in back-to-back starts and has struggled mightily against left handed batters this season.

Of the seven home runs he has allowed, six have come against left handed batters while allowing them to bat .265 to go along with a .471 slugging percentage compared to right handed batters allowing just a .176 average and .242 slugging percentage.

Sure, Clemens is a better hitter at home batting .267 compared to a .212 average on the road, but 14 of his 26 home runs have come on the road and 21 of 26 coming against right handed pitchers.

In interleague games this season Clemens is slugging .534 compared to a .432 slugging percentage against AL teams so let’s take him at +420 odds to hit his home run props tonight. Other Twins batters to look at for home run props includes Josh Bell and Royce Lewis (both +560).
