MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Jose Altuve, Astros OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-120)

Jose Altuve is coming off a stellar series against the Chicago White Sox where he cleared this HRR line in all three games (5 each of L2 games) while going 6-10 in the process with three doubles and three RBI.

Altuve has also hit well against tonight’s opposing starting pitcher Chris Paddack, going 3-8 (.375) with a double and an RBI.

Paddack has actually been really solid recently, but he already allowed 9 baserunners and 4 runs (3ER) across only4 innings against Houston in early April.

The Twins bullpen is also trending in the wrong direction as they rank 14th in ERA on the season but 24th during the last 30 days.

Altuve has logged a hit in 15 of his last 20 games with 10 multiple hit games including each of his last three games. Let’s look for him to continue his hot streak tonight in a great hitting environment at Minute Maid Park.

MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Mookie Betts, Dodgers OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130)

Mookie Betts was a Giants killer last season with 2+ HRR in 5 of 6 head-to-head games and he’s logged a hit in all six games. Betts went 11-24 (.458) in those games with two home runs and two triples.

Now he gets an opportunity to feast Logan Webb who he’s gone 15-36 (.370) against with two home runs and two doubles.

Webb is a true ace, but he hasn’t been as effective on the road where he’s posted a 3.95 ERA & .261 OBA compared to 1.36 ERA & .244 OBA at home.

That trend includes his four starts against the LAD during the 2024 campaign as he allowed only 2ER across 13 IP in two starts at home compared to 9ER across 8.2 IP in two starts on the road.

Webb has also really struggled with this Dodgers lineup in general as they have hit a combined .328 against him with 6 home runs across 192 at-bats.

The Giants bullpen isn’t in horrible shape but some of their key arms will be in question as Doval has pitched on back-to-back days and Rogers threw 20 pitches yesterday.

Betts might be in the best batting position in the MLB as he hits behind Shohei Ohtani and in front of Freddie Freeman. He’s covered this HRR line in 6 of his last 7 games overall and I fully expect another strong effort tonight.
