The Cavs were celebrating the 500th game at Scott Stadium, and they were playing well with a lead as a home ‘dog against James Madison.

A weather delay sent both teams to the locker room, and when they came out, the Dukes scored two touchdowns en route to a 36-35 win on an emotional afternoon where Virginia was honoring the three teammates who were fatally shot last November.

Virginia freshman QB Anthony Colandrea got the start and he threw for 377 yards and two touchdowns while Mike Hollins had two touchdowns.

Regularly-scheduled starting quarterback Tony Muskett missed the contest, but he has returned to practice this week and he is expected to return to the lineup on Friday night.

Maryland Football Preview

Maryland was briefly on upset alert last week as Charlotte jumped out to a 14-0 lead in College Park. Taulia Tagovailoa did not have his best day, throwing two interceptions before the Terrapins eventually woke up and took control in the second half.

Roman Hemby scampered for 162 yards and a touchdown. These two have not met since 2014 when both were in the ACC.

The Terrapins won three of the last four in the series, and Maryland has enjoyed success against its former conference, winning four of its last five against ACC foes.

We’re expecting a similar result here in College Park. James Madison is a very good team, but the Dukes were short-handed at a lot of skill positions last week. Maryland is not.
