Now Ionescu has to deal with an Indiana Fever defense that ranks #1 in three-pointers allowed overall, 2nd in threes allowed to opposing guards and 3rd in spot up defense.
The Fever sell out on defending the perimeter and that will lead to some easy drives to bucket for Ionescu. Indiana ranks #2 in above-the-break three defense and that area accounts for the majority of Ionescu’s shots from long distance.
Ionescu fell short of this line in her lone head-to-head meeting with the Fever in 2026 while going 2-4 from beyond the arc. The Liberty should find it easier to score at the rim as opposed to the perimeter.

Chelsea Gray has fallen short of this line in back-to-back games with only 11 and 9 points but now she gets a much more favorable matchup against Washington Mystics team that she scored 19 points against in her lone head-to-head game during the 2026 campaign.
Those two games were also played in the road where Gray averages 1.5 points less than at home where she’s gone over this number in 4 of her last 6 games.
The Mystics are actually a very strong defense, but they have allowed the HIGHEST pull up rate and that area accounts for 52% of Gray’s scoring.
Washington also ranks 8th in defense against the pick-&-roll ballhandler and Gray has cleared this line in 11/15 games against teams that rank below average in that area while averaging 12.6 points per game. Let’s back Gray to get back on track at home against a team that she’s thrived against in the past.
