Hawks' top defender Dyson Daniels has already been ruled out for tonight’s contest. These teams just met on Sunday with Chicago earning a 152-150 road win in Atlanta. Josh Giddey finished with 31 points + assists in Sunday's contest, but now the Hawks' best on-ball defender is out of the lineup. Giddey has averaged 29 points + assists per game this season, so oddsmakers are simply asking him to hit his average against a short-handed Hawks team. Over the last five games, Atlanta is last in the league in defensive rating. The Hawks have allowed the eighth-most assists per game this season and the Bulls are top-5 in assist rate, so Giddey should be able to find plenty of open shooters tonight. During that same five-game sample where the Hawks are last in defensive rating, Chicago is No. 1 in offensive rating. In a game with a sky-high total of 252 points, Giddey should be able to hit his season averages against this struggling defense.
