THE PLAY: Houston Texans -2.5 (-110)
Tampa Bay escaped Atlanta last week with a 23-20 win, but the numbers tell a different story: the Bucs were outgained by nearly 100 yards and needed late-game urgency to pull it off. That type of performance doesn’t usually hold up, especially in this spot. Tampa is 0-10 ATS on Mondays after a win.
Houston, meanwhile, comes in off a tough 14-9 loss at the Rams, but there’s no reason to downgrade them heavily. The Texans still have balance on both sides of the ball, and the market often favors 0-1 teams vs 1-0 teams in Week 2, a long-standing profitable trend. Add in Houston’s 3-0 ATS run on Monday nights and a 3-1-1 ATS mark in this series, and the edges line up.
Bottom line: Tampa is coming off a lucky win, Houston is in a prime bounce-back spot, and the trends heavily favor the home side.
Pick: Houston -2.5 — Texans cash on Monday night.

Consultant Bio
Dwayne Bryant was introduced to sports betting by his godfather at the age of 13. Dwayne started by betting on the ponies at Penn National Race Course, and branched out into NFL & college football, NBA & NCAA basketball, and MLB. Dwayne produced an amazing, unmatched 20-game football win streak (NFL and college combined) during the 2009-10 season.
Dwayne is a situational handicapper in NFL, college football, and NBA, focusing mostly on sides. DB focuses almost exclusively on totals in college hoops. Starting in 2024, Dwayne shifted his MLB handicapping method and now uses situational angles found using the powerful SDQL database. DB's volume fluctuates based on how many sports are active and how many plays qualify on a given day. Dwayne will pass if nothing is strong enough, but he's not afraid to make eight bets or more on any given day if that's how many plays qualify.
