THE PLAY: Nico Echavarria Top 20 (+260)

$5 PGA TOP 30 PLAY!! - Sean cashed last week with Max Greyserman for his $5 Tuesday play and has another one up for this week while targeting a player for Top 30 with odds just over 2-1.

Nico is one of those players that seems to be playing well going into major championships and gets people to use him, only to miss the cut when struggling around the greens. He doesn’t have the type of scrambling game to compete at courses that are setup with tough defenses around the green, but TPC Deere Run is not the type of course that should give him problems like he has shown over the last 2 years here while actually gaining strokes around the greens to the field.

Nico is coming off a solid T6 finish last week in Detroit while gaining just over a stroke to the field around the greens for the first time in 6 starts. Echavarria is hitting the ball well off the tee and his ball striking with his irons is in form. This is an easy course setup by PGA Tour standards and should suit Nico’s game well. Is this one of those spots where Nico plays well to give us hope going into a major/signature event? I think so and am going to try and “buy low” on him this week before a disappointing effort in future weeks.

Working at a country club a mile east of Del Mar Racetrack, Sean was introduced to horse racing and his passion for the sport took off. The puzzle of going through past performances and replays appealed to Sean and spent his time after work listening to respected handicappers to learn as much as he could. In his first season playing the NHC Tour, he qualified for the Championship by placing 2nd in the LRF Cares contest after turning his initial $250 bankroll into $3,640.40. In this year's Xpressbet Kentucky Derby contest, Sean finished 6th by flipping the $2,000 bankroll into $15,681.85 while also taking home a 2024 Pegasus World Cup Betting Challenge entry valued at $6,000.
