(921) Philadelphia Phillies at (922) Detroit Tigers: Jack Flaherty Strikeouts

2% Jack Flaherty Strikeouts Over 5.5 (-128) Home Listed Pitcher Must Start

Jack Flaherty Performance Analysis:

  • Dominant Home Pitching Splits: Flaherty is a significantly more effective pitcher when playing in Detroit. While he averages 5.4 K’s per start overall, that number jumps to 7.0 K’s per start at Comerica Park. His efficiency is elite at home, where he strikes out 1.4 batters per inning and holds opponents to a meager .215 opponent batting average.

  • Contrast with Road Performance: His home dominance is highlighted by his road struggles, where his strikeout rate drops to 1.0 K per inning with a much higher .282 opponent batting average. Returning to Detroit provides a major situational boost to his statistical ceiling.

  • Stretched Out and Reliable Workload: Making his third start since returning from injury on June 28, Flaherty has proven his durability by tossing 94 and 88 pitches in his recent outings. This workload ensures he has the longevity to work deep into the game, as evidenced by his 9-strikeout performance in his last home start.

Philadelphia Phillies Performance Analysis:

  • High-Volume Strikeout Trend: The Phillies' offense is currently one of the most strikeout-prone units in baseball ranking #3 the past 15 days. They have recorded 133 K’s over their last 14 games, averaging a high 9.5 strikeouts per game.

  • Sustained Swing-and-Miss Consistency: Philadelphia enters this matchup having recorded at least 7 K’s in 14 straight games. This consistent inability to put the ball in play creates a highly favorable environment for a power pitcher with Flaherty’s 1.4 K/inning home rate.

Yet another handicapper from the Cleveland area following Marc Lawrence, Phil Steele, Ralph Michaels, Ed Meyer, and Bryan Leonard. In fact, Jeff's hunger for handicapping began at a young age, being surrounded by parents who made sports betting a daily routine. Jeff then worked for both North Coast Sports and Phil Steele Publications, learning the intricacies of sports betting and becoming a profitable handicapper. Throughout his college years, Jeff's mathematical and analytical prowess helped him develop a betting strategy that turned sports betting into a profitable venture.

Jeff now joins the Sports Memo Marketplace after selling picks on several small sites. Jeff handicaps the traditional sports of NFL, CFB, the NBA, College Basketball, and MLB while showing real prowess in the WNBA. He has dominated the teaser market and has spent a lot of his focus on sides. While also adding in a share of props (especially NFL & MLB), as well as totals.
