3% – (777) B.C. Lions at (778) Toronto Argonauts Total Over 47.5 (-110)

Argos/Lions - Over 47.5 (3% Play)

This point spread opened at 7.5 at some books and has gone down to 3.5 at some shops. I did a free-play video speaking about how I like Toronto to compete in this game and that the +5.5 was still a decent wager to make, but the more I looked at this game, the more the over stuck out to me.

A lot is being said about the QB room in Toronto, can Dukes be a difference-maker? Can he be serviceable for the Argos while they're without Chad Kelly? I think the answer is YES. Dukes has looked solid in his appearances in the CFL and last year he made several clutch plays for the Argos when he was put in the game. The Argos might be starting a 2nd string QB, but they have a top-notch first-string offence that will create a ton of plays.

As for the Lions, they are the team to watch for this year. The Lions offence led by Vernon Adams Jr is explosive, they have no hesitation to take shots downfield and they have multiple guys who can turn nothing into something.

One thing about both these teams, and especially the Lions, is that I think their defences are a bit overrated.

BC surrendered 31.8 ppg in the final nine regular season games before allowing 54 points in two playoff contests. The Lions also lost a few key defenders in the off-season, one to the NFL and one to the injury list.

The Argos gave up at LEAST 25 points in three of their last four games of the season last year, including 38 points to the Alouettes in the divisional finals.

This game should see POINTS - Play the OVER 47.6
