4* Rotation #11: NHL Saturday 4* Edmonton Oilers Money Line +123 @ Florida Panthers @ 8 ET - The Panthers will get plenty of love here from the markets as they were in the finals last year and lost to the Golden Knights. Florida is a great team but I feel the Oilers are undervalued coming into this series and I look for them to steal Game 1 on the road. They had outplayed this Dallas team in the series until a shocking deficit in shots on goal of 35 to 10 in Game 6 which they still overcame for the win thanks to strong goal-tending as Skinner is hot! Not only that, as strong as Florida has been on the power play and penalty kill, Edmonton has been even better with incredible numbers. The Oilers PK is at 93.5% and their PP is at 34.7% in the post-season. The thing that impresses me the most however is that Edmonton outshot the Stars in each of the first 5 games in the series single game including by an average of 6 shots per game in the first 5 games and then they still managed to overcome the edge of 35-10 (advantage Stars) in the most important game of all, the series clincher. That is some impressive goaltending work and wherewithal. That said, I know Florida also looked very impressive against the Rangers but many had the Stars favored to win the Stanley Cup throughout this post-season so I am more impressed with what Edmonton did against Dallas in comparison with Florida knocking off a Rangers team that just doesn't have enough on its roster. Also, the Panthers are 3-3 last 6 on home ice and one of those wins came in overtime. The Oilers are 3-1 last 4 on enemy ice and they have the added confidence of a red hot goalie who is just as hot as Florida's Bobrovsky right now. Lets not forget that Edmonton scored 10 of the last 12 goals that were scored in the series with Dallas. The Panthers last 5 games of their series with the Rangers had an aggregate score of Florida 13, New York 12. You can see where I am going with that. This Oilers team is so hot and confident and, while I do respect the Panthers tremendously, I expect a Game 1 upset as Skinner stays red hot between the pipes for the Oilers and their playmakers on offense are too much for the Florida defensemen as they get the early jump in this series. 4* EDMONTON +123
