4% Houston @ Memphis

As mentioned last week in the 4% D.C.-Memphis writeup the surface look of Memphis improving defensively by allowing 24 points to Michigan two weeks ago was a mirage. After D.C. lit them up for 36 last Sunday the Showboats have now allowed 32+ in 5 of their last 6 games. In fact six of their last seven have produced 45+ final score points which is enough to cash here today. The Showboats defense remains worst in the league allowing 358.9 typg, 247.3 of which are through the air on 72.5% pass completions. Figures to be the perfect elixir for the surging Houston offense DC offense which is also aided by Memphis’ pass rush ranked 2nd to last in sacks. Roughnecks dual threat QB Nolan Henderson combined with pocket passer Reid Sinnett to score 22 vs. a staunch Michigan defense last week. That came on the heels of posting 28 vs. the 9-1 Birmingham Stallions. Memphis meanwhile hands the ball over to Josh Love at QB who went 18/26/161/2 TD/2 int the last couple games. Their OL is porous but when they protect they are dangerous through the air and their WR group can put up points as indicated by their 21+ 3 of the L4W and 20.8 average over that span. This one has 47+ written all over it.
