Analysis

3* Rotation #905: MLB Saturday 3* Philadelphia Phillies Money Line -133 @ Miami Marlins @ 4:10 ET - The starting pitching gets so much attention in baseball betting markets that it oftentimes creates incredible value for those who dig much deeper into match-ups. The fact is lineups and bullpens and fielding and overall team strength are also key factors. It is certainly NOT just about starting pitching. That said, Taijuan Walker has had a bit of a shaky start to this season but he is fully capable of keeping a weak lineup like the Marlins in check. Miami is one of the worst hitting teams in the majors! The Phillies, on the other hand, are one of the best hitting teams in the majors. This Philadelphia team has the best record in baseball and they continue to roll. They continue to be under-valued too. This line has been kept too low because the Marlins are likely going with Jesus Luzardo here but this will be his first start off the DL plus he only made one rehab start. That was at Single-A Jupiter and I am not so sure that start makes him now ready to take on this red hot Phillies lineup. I really don't care who the Marlins start here because it also could be Braxton Garrett (back from IL) or Sixto Sanchez (had been filling in as a starter) but this Philadelphia team has been too hot! The Phillies have won 19 of 23 games and have scored an average of 6.5 runs in going 12-2 last 14 games! The Marlins have lost 6 of 7 games and scored just 2.2 runs per game in those 6 defeats. Miami is 10-30 this season while the Phillies are on a 19-4 run. This is a bargain price on the red hot road team and I will not pass it up! 3* PHILADELPHIA -133
