The Gold Sheet
(901) Arizona Diamondbacks at (902) Cincinnati Reds
Arizona's offense has struggled this season, but this should be a good spot for the Diamondbacks to gain some confidence. Gametime temperatures are expected to be in the low-80s in Cincinnati and it's going to be humid, allowing the ball to fly out of Great American Ballpark. Frankie Montas is making his first start since coming off the IL with a forearm issue, and he did not make any rehab appearances in the minors. In his last two starts before going on the IL, he went 2.0 innings against the Mariners and didn't make it out of the first inning against the Angels. He has not made a "normal" start since April 9, and we're not sure why the Reds are throwing him right back into the fire like this (don't forget, he missed all of last season). After going 1-for-25 in late April, Corbin Carroll has gotten a hit in five of his last six games. His 2-for-4 day against the Padres on Sunday suggests that he may be breaking out of his early-season slump. We've got the road team guaranteed to get nine at-bats on a very hitter-friendly night in Cincinnati.
