Analysis

2* Rotation #952 MLB Monday 2* Philadelphia Phillies -185 vs San Francisco Giants @ 4 ET -  I am going to keep riding the red hot Phillies. There is no reason to stop right now. Just as I mentioned yesterday and Saturday and Friday, line value here because the Giants are certainly a respectable team yet they just are not on the level of this Phillies team in terms of the lineup. As a result of market perception on SF, the Phillies are offering solid line value in this one with a sizzling hot lineup and even with a price in the -185 range likely heading to the -200 range throughout the day. The fact is Philadelphia is likely to pound a rookie pitcher going for SF in this one! Mason Black has good numbers at AAA but he got hit hard in spring training and now makes his MLB debut on the road against one of the hottest teams in the league. He is unlikely to outduel a red hot Zack Wheeler as that is who Philadelphia will have on the mound in this one. The Phillies have won 9 of 10 games and 16 of last 19 games. Philadelphia has averaged 6 runs per game in their last 18 games. San Francisco has averaged 2.5 runs per game last 10 games - an ugly 3-7 stretch. The Phillies have gone 21-8 this season against teams that currently have a losing record. The Giants have gone 2-10 this season against teams that currently have a winning record. Great spot here to fade a rookie pitcher facing a solid Phillies lineup and with the Phillies having the home field edge and the hot lineup edge right now I am looking for another home win. Even without the injured Turner, the Phillies lineup did not miss a beat in outscoring the Giants 19-7 the last two days! As for Wheeler, he has allowed only 1 earned run on just 7 hits in 18 innings spanning his last 3 starts. He also has struck out 32 guys in 23 innings over his last 4 starts. Phillies and Wheeler roll at home here! 2* PHILADELPHIA -185
