The Royals and Rangers meet at Kaufman Stadium in KC. The Royals start Brady Singer. Singer has been very good on the season. He was great in his first two home starts but got touched up by the Blue Jays his last time at home and is in a good position for a bounce back start. The Royals had the day off yesterday and the Rangers did not, so the rest advantage is with KC. But backing Singer at home is the play here as he has 34 strikeouts in 34.1 innings. Plus the Royals bats at home are some of the best in the league coming in 5th in batting average, 4th in runs scored and 7th in home runs. The Royals also have the lowest strikeout rate at home this season in all of baseball. They go against Michael Lorenzen, who is making his fourth start of the season. He was great in his first start against a weak hitting Tigers team. But in his last two starts against the Braves and Reds, he gave up eight earned runs in his 12 innings pitched. I expect that Kansas City will be able to get to him early. Singer should do the heavy lifting here for a Royals team that is 12-5 straight up at home this season.
