3% Take Minnesota (#915) (action)

The Angels are what we thought they were.  After overachieving to start the season 9-9, LA is now 1-7 in their last eight ballgames, falling apart everywhere.  Injuries have forced Jose Soriano into the starting rotation; LA is 0-3 in his three previous starts and he’s walked eight batters in his last two trips to the hill. Their bullpen is bottom quartile in ERA and near the bottom in strikeout percentage as well.  Their bats?  Three runs or less five times in this eight game slump, with Mike Trout remaining the only guy anyone needs to pitch around.  Meanwhile the Twins have won five straight since their 7-13 start, scoring five runs or more in every game – their bats are heating up RIGHT NOW.  Minnesota’s bullpen ranks Top 5 in ERA and strikeout percentage.  And starter Chris Paddack is coming off a seven inning, no runs allowed, ten strikeout gem. Ride the hot & fade the cold. Take the Twins.
