The Royals and Tigers play the second game of their three game series in Detroit. Brady Singer gets the ball for KC looking to bounce back from his first loss and bad start of the season. He was tagged for five runs in six innings last time out against Toronto. The Tigers do not have a lineup like the Blue Jays. Detroit is bottom five in batting average and OPS and 23rd in wRC+ on the season. Singer has done very well against poor hitting lineups like the White Sox and Twins to start the season. Plus Detroit has the 7th highest strikeout rate in baseball so far. Singer is averaging almost nine strikeout per nine innings on the year. The Royals lineup is still one of the better ones in baseball. They are top 10 in OPS and wRC+. I'm a little surprised that the Tigers were a small favorite last night and the same here in this game. The Tigers have a -1 run differential on the season while the Royals +47 run differential is the best in the American League. I'm backing Singer to do the heavy lifting here and the Royals bats to do just enough to get by in the first five. We still keep the push in play at a favorable price.
