Texas returns home from a road trip that saw them go to Colorado and Atlanta. The Atlanta series was a Big One for the defending Champs with included being on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. Next to the Dodgers many believe the Braves are the Best in the National League so that series meant a lot. Seattle is a division rival that is playing great baseball right now winning 5 of their L6 games. Seattle pitching has been outstanding as they have allowed 3 runs or less in 7 straight games. Logan Gilbert goes for Seattle and he has made 4 starts going into the 7th in 3 of them and allowing just 1 run in each of those 3 starts. Dane Dunning hasn’t pitched bad as he has allowed 3 runs or less in all 4 of his starts. The difference is he walks too many batters and that’s going to catch up with him. In 23 innings of work he has 22 K’s and 13 BB’s. I clearly like Gilbert over Dunning. Given the fact that Gilbert goes deep into his starts and that the Seattle bullpen has better numbers than Texas’ I am making this a full game wager.
