The Rangers and Braves finish their three game series in Atlanta. The Texas bats have been pretty quiet through the first two games. I expect them to show out tonight in Atlanta. And I'm going to play against Braves starter Darius Vines again. Vines made his first start of the season and third of his career last week against Houston. In the first inning he gave up two hits and two walks, but Houston was only able to get one run. Vines settled down and pitched better, but the Astros missed a big chance. The Houston bats have been down all year. The Rangers are 8th in batting average on the year and 13th in OPS and wRC+. Against right-handers they are 5th in batting average and 6th in OPS and wRC+. I think they have a chance to get to Vines early in this game. Now getting to the Braves bullpen won't be easy, so if they can't get to Vines, they are likely dead altogether. The Rangers also haven't been held to under five runs in three straight games to start the season, so I like their chances to continue that trend after scoring a combined five runs in the first two games of this series.
