Analysis

1H Miami Marlins -0.5 (-105) T Anderson (LHP), J Luzardo (LHP) Must Start…(4%) Good to -111

The Marlins are winless this year and have Luzardo on the mound, who's coming off a very respectable outing, so I'm electing to go with the first five spot here instead of the usual full-game side or team total.

The Angels are a team I'm looking to fade constantly. Their starting pitching is significantly below average overall, and their infield play has already shown some weaknesses in the young season. The Marlins return to Jesus Luzardo, who pitched five innings against the Pirates, giving up only two hits, two earned runs, and one home run. Last season, Luzardo was 10-10 with an ERA of 3.63 for the Marlins. He was 5-4 at home with an ERA of 2.99 in 19 starts.

The Marlins, desperate for their first win, will face Tyler Anderson. Last season, Anderson went just 6-6 in 27 games for the Angels. Anderson is 7-6 with an ERA of 5.19 in his career in April. He has allowed 143 hits in 137 innings in 27 career April starts and given up 27 home runs.

The Marlins should be fired up to have their Ace on the mound, and they're getting a pitcher on the Angels, who they should be able to get some hits off of.

Take the Marlins in the first five, as we can't trust them for a full game.
