3% Take Milwaukee (#529)

Let me start with this – I have no problem taking the Bucks when Damian Lillard is expected to sit, especially when Giannis, Khris Middleton and backup point guard Patrick Beverly are all expected to suit up.

I want the Bucks off back-2-back losses, like the losses they just suffered in OT vs the Lakers and at New Orleans in their last two games.  They beat Chicago by 9, San Antonio by 4, Boston by 32, Dallas by 12, Minnesota by 5 and the LA Clippers by 7 in this role: 6-1 SU off back-2-back losses, beating some good teams in the process and winning all six of those contests by four points or more.

The Hawks have won four in a row, tying their longest winning streak of the season.  Two of those wins came against bottom feeders playing awful basketball down the stretch – Charlotte and Portland.  The other two came against the Celtics: one game where the Hawks rallied from 30 points down to notch the ‘W’, the other in OT.

Here’s the quote from Bogdan Bogdanovic following the win over Boston on Thursday.  "It's very emotional, you know. But another game in two days. Milwaukee's coming to town, another challenge for us, and we've got to get ready and forget this as soon as we can."  For a team that has struggled to do exactly that all year, facing a Bucks team hungry for a ‘W’, I’m expecting a very natural letdown from this sub .500 Hawks squad playing without multiple starters and key reserves. Road chalk worth laying!  Take the Bucks.
