WNBA Props Today: Kiah Stokes Golden State Valkyries OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-112)
Kiah Stokes has seen an expanded role recently as she’s closed out 4 of her last 5 games while playing the majority of the 4th quarter in each of her last two games against the Toronto Tempo.
The Dallas Wings have a ton of size with Jessica Shepherd and Alanna Smith so the Valkyries may need Stokes on the floor to deal with their length.
Dallas has still allowed the 5th most rebounds on the season and 4th most during their last 10 games. We have seen several opposing centers eclipse their respective rebound lines against the Wings even in limited roles including Lauren Betts (7 twice) and Brionna Jones (7).
Stokes already recorded 7 rebounds against Dallas earlier in the season despite playing only 21 minutes. We have a spread of only -1.5 & a low total so Stokes should see full minutes in a game with plenty of missed shots.
WNBA Props Today: Paige Bueckers Dallas Wings UNDER 19.5 Points (-130)
Paige Bueckers has fallen short of this line in 6/7 games against teams that rank top 5 in defensive rating and bottom 10 in pace of play while averaging only 15.9 points per game.
Now Bueckers has to deal with a Golden State Valkyries defense that ranks #1 in defensive rating and DEAD LAST in pace of play.
Golden State has held other elite scorers in check including Marina Mabrey (12), Caitlin Clark (13) and Chelsea Gray (14). Bueckers already fell short of this line in her lone head-to-head game against the Valkyries while scoring only 15 points on 13 field goal attempts.
Golden State will look to impose a methodical pace of play while limiting possessions and that’s reflected in the total being set low at 163.5. The Valkyries rank #3 in pick-&-roll ballhandler defense and that’s an area that Bueckers relies on to score.
