Arsenal vs Bournemouth | May 3 | 12:30 PM ET
Arsenal +110 | Bournemouth +245 | Draw +255
Tricky test for Arsenal here on Saturday after coming off a disappointing midweek display against PSG in the Champions League.
Arsenal were favorites heading into that clash at home on Tuesday night after dismantling current holders Real Madrid by a 5-1 aggregate scoreline in the last round, yet Ousmane Dembele took the wind out of the Gunners sails early with a low strike within the opening five minutes.
A penalty appeal, as well as a disallowed goal for Arsenal, certainly didn’t help matters either, yet it almost got even worse for the Gunners late on when Goncalo Ramos’ late strike hit the crossbar near the end of the game.
Arsenal will look to regroup ahead of leg two in Paris next week, and with the Premier League title already gone, it’s understandable that the Gunners may overlook this one and pour full focus onto that pivotal Champions League leg two clash next week instead.
Bournemouth have relatively little to play for themselves heading into this one, currently stuck in no man’s land in 10th, yet a top-half finish in the table would be another step up for Andoni Iraola’s side who finished 12th in the table last season.
With so little to concern either side here, the defensive intensity might not be there, and with Bournemouth already sitting as the #1 team in the Both Teams to Score percentage table away from home this season, with 13 of their 17 road games so far witnessing both teams finding the back of the net, that could be the way forward in Saturday’s game also.
EPL Prediction: Both Teams to Score – Yes (-135)
West Ham vs Tottenham | May 4 | 9:00AM ET
West Ham +110 | Tottenham +230 | Draw +270
After suffering yet another humiliating 5-1 defeat against Liverpool last weekend, the second time Spurs have allowed 4+ goals to an opponent across just their last four starts, the sharks are circling in terms of Ange Postecoglou’s position at the club ahead of next season.
Delivering a Europe League title would certainly go a long way in alleviating that pressure, yet sitting just two spots off relegation currently in the Premier League table has simply been too much to bear for a lot of fans and the board, especially for a team that is used to challenging for European places year in, year out, and the jovial Australian may be gone no matter what happens in Europe.
West Ham meanwhile are in even worse form this season, sitting just below Tottenham in the table with their European glory days already in the rearview mirror, winning the Europa Conference League as they did back in 2023.
If we look at the form table for both teams, both rank inside the bottom four across their last six starts, amassing just 0.50 PPG respectively. Only the bottom two teams of Southampton and Leicester are currently doing worse.
Defensively, Tottenham have been abysmal at the back across that recent run as well, allowing 2.50 goals per game on average, the second-worst mark in the league overall, with West Ham doing little better keeping no clean sheet themselves across their last six starts.
Tottenham dominated the reverse fixture between these two sides 4-1 back in October, yet in this venue, both of the last two meetings between the sides have ended in 1-1 draws, and with little to separate either team in terms of their dismal form ahead of this one, we could see a similar result play out here on Sunday.
EPL Prediction: Correct Score 1-1 (+650)
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest | May 5 | 3:00 PM ET
Crystal Palace +130 | Nottingham Forest +215 | Draw +240
Nottingham Forest’s dream of a top-four finish has started to unravel across the last few weeks as the Tricky Trees have lost three of their last four games overall (a run that may get even worse should they lose to Brentford on Thursday night also), dropping them down to 6th in the table at the time of writing, and out of the FA Cup also.
One team who did book their place into this year’s FA Cup final however is Crystal Palace, with the Eagles thumping Aston Villa 3-0 in the other semi-final taking place last weekend, a remarkable result and one that shows Oliver Glasner’s process at the club is working.
In league action however, it’s been a different story for Palace who haven’t quite been so dominant of late, winless in four straight games heading into this one after an excellent run of form between February to the start of April.
Nottingham Forest won the reverse fixture between these two sides at the City Ground back in October, but it certainly wasn’t an easy experience, with Palace rattling the crossbar as well as having numerous other great chances in that game, only for Forest keeper Matz Sels to show why he’s been so pivotal to Forest’s success this season, by having yet another Man of the Match level performance in between the posts.
Both of these teams rank #1 respectively in first-half clean sheet percentage at home for Nottingham Forest, and on the road for Crystal Palace this season, combining for an impressive 76.5% first-half shutout record this year.
Switching that over to Forest’s road form however, as well as Palace’s home form, completely reverses those numbers, with both teams sitting in the bottom half of the league overall at less than 50%.
The Over 1 goal in the first half for this game is currently priced competitively, and given both teams’ recent struggles, as well as their issues both at home and on the road defensively this season early, that looks like solid value for Monday.
EPL Prediction: 1H Over 1 (-110)
