Mavericks vs Suns Analysis
The Dallas Mavericks will host the Phoenix Suns in an attempt to even the series at 3-3, it’s been the home team that has not only controlled the games, but controlled them easily as the closest game has been seven points.
Dallas won both their home games by 9 and 10 points and the books have the Mavericks as +2 point underdogs tonight with the total at 211.5. We’ll take a close look at this game and find the best bet.
Dallas On The Brink
Dallas should feel great about being at home as they’ve done great in both home games, but there is no tomorrow if they lose this one.
At home, the Mavericks are getting better performances from the guys outside Luka and Brunson, and the Home/Road difference was on full display last game at Phoenix as Luke and Brunson scored 49 points, and nobody else scored more than 10.
For Dallas, they’ll need big games from Luka, Brunson and the supporting cast, and of course…Chris Paul foul trouble wouldn’t be a bad thing for them.
Suns Looking To Set on Dallas and Rise To The Next Round
Enough with the corny jokes. The Home/Road performances from Phoenix have been bizarre as they’ve won by 7, 20 and 30 at home, and lost by 9 and 11 on the road.
The Chris Paul performances are the obvious difference as he’s been in foul trouble in both games in Dallas, and completely out of sorts, but at home he’s been in control, and didn’t even need to do too much last game as it was a 30 points blowout.
No doubt both teams will be ready to play, but will the Suns be able to bring their confident home performances to Dallas tonight?
Mavericks vs Suns Prediction
With this close out game, I see Dallas trying to grind it out by wearing down Chris Paul and running the shot clock down and stepping up their defensive intensity so I see a low scoring game.
The nerves could be there for some role players, and with only one game out of the last three going over 198 points, I expect another low scoring game to go under.
Prediction: Under 211.5
