Paul George Player Prop Pick: OVER 15.5 Points (-116) vs Detroit Pistons

I’m honestly not very high on the Boston Celtics acquisition of Paul George mostly based on his injury history but he’ll be fully healthy in the first game of the 2026 NBA campaign.

Ausar Thompson is one of the leagues premiere defenders and he should be tasked with guarding Jayson Tatum while Cade Cunningham will likely defend Derrick White. That will leave George with an easier matchup against Duncan Robinson and/or John Collins.

The Philadelphia 76ers were more than happy to unload George so he should have a chip on his shoulder in the early season. George covered this line in 17 of his last 22 games (77%) of the 2025-26 campaign while landing on 15 exactly once. This sets up as a nice buy low spot on a player who has never been afraid to shoot the ball.

LeBron James Player Prop Pick: OVER 7.5 Assists (-110) vs New York Knicks

The Philadelphia 76ers seem to have decided to utilize LeBron James more as a point guard than a forward while putting an emphasis on his ability to create shots for others.

Nick Nurse has called James an “offense creator” stating that even when he doesn’t bring the ball up, he’ll often receive the first pass before the Sixers get into their actions.

There has also been an emphasis on Tyrese Maxey being available for catch-&-shoot opportunities while James makes reads. During the preseason, James logged 5 assists across 18 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets and 7 assists in just under 25 minutes against the Boston Celtics while advancing the ball in transition.

Nurse also wants to push the pace with VJ Edgecombe and Maxey running ahead so James can find his teammates before the New York Knicks can organize defensively.
