Sure, seven of their last 10 games haven’t resulted in a NRFI, but those ten games have come against the Yankees, Cubs and Mets who have three of the more formidable offenses in the MLB.

The Marlins haven’t scored in the first inning in 74% of their games and although Marlins starter Max Meyer has allowed a run in the first inning in his last two starts, those games were against the Padres and Cubs with the Rockies sporting the worst batting average in baseball so far this season at just .215.

Rockies starter German Marquez has been solid as of late, not allowing a first inning run in his last two starts against the Cubs and Phillies with the Marlins not scoring a first inning run in 74% of home games on the season. NRFI Best Bet Today #2: San Diego Padres vs San Francisco Giants (-130)

The Giants have failed to score a run in the first inning in 77% of home games as they host NL West rival Padres kicking off a four-game series.

Stephen Kolek takes the mound for San Diego who although has been inconsistent this season, does sport a 1.33 road ERA in 20.1 innings pitched compared to a 9.58 home ERA in just 10.1 innings pitched.

Giants starter Logan Webb sports a 1.39 home ERA heading into this one with San Francisco in general playing to a NRFI result in six of their last nine games, all on the road.

Webb was roughed up in his first start against the Padres in San Diego this season, but with tonight’s start coming in San Francisco let’s play on a Padres vs Giants NRFI to occur tonight at -130 odds before 9:40PM ET first pitch.
