Since that outing he has made just one start at Colorado allowing four earned runs in just five innings showing the inconsistencies he has had this season in general.

It is a down month by Alvarez’s standards batting just .213, but he does have four home runs in May and two home runs off the Texas pitching staff this season.

Ten of Alvarez’s 16 home runs have come off right handed pitching while slugging .591 against them as well so let’s take the Houston power hitter to hit his home run prop tonight at +330 odds as the Astros look to keep their surging offense in-tact.

Another team that’s been heating up as of late is the Diamondbacks who look to make it four-straight at San Francisco tonight. Ketel Marte has been a big part of the current winning streak going 10-13 with a home run, three doubles and eight RBIs as we’ll look for him to hit his home run prop tonight.

For the month Marte is batting .333 to go along with a .583 slugging percentage going up against Tyler Mahle tonight. Marte is 8-12 with two home runs all-time against Mahle and also has home runs off Giants relievers JT Brubaker and Matt Gage.

Marte is a switch hitter and when batting left handed he has seven of his eight home runs this season and also has five of his eight home runs hit on the road.

Mahle has been as inconsistent as they come this season already allowing 10 home runs in 51.2 innings pitched and four of those have come in his last three starts (15.2 IP).
