3% Indiana @ New York

Indiana survived a pair of novice style road blowouts en-route to 4-2 eliminating of Milwaukee. Pacers playoff inexperience & jitters showed in opening round series opener & potential close out games but Game #2 125-108 answer along with Game #5 115-102 win in Bucks arena may have them ready now. New York in polar opposite matchup here after facing Philadelphia reliance on Embiid-Maxey duo. Knicks won’t have to contend with size this round but extreme tempo plus assortment of scorers could be just as problematic. New York HC Tom Thibodeaux basically using “Iron 7” man rotation after loss of Bojan Bogdanovich during previous series which makes this even more of a tempo contrast. Pacers preference to employ extreme tempo now magnified by depth advantage while NYK need to play at a reasonable speed is crucial. Pacers earlier series lessons learned likely to have them revved up from the outset. They are the highest 1H scoring team overall in the NBA this season and #6 on the road averaging 59.7. In the Milwaukee series Indiana put 59+ on the scoreboard at halftime 4 in the 6G. Pacers hit an average of 17.3 three pointers per game vs. New York this season and they scored 61/58/64 1H points in the three matchups against them. Figure Indiana has now established their footing after pair of learning curve road games and on their way to 55+ in the 1H tonight.
