The Nuggets and Lakers play Game 4 of their series with Denver going for a sweep. I've said repeatedly there's nothing the Lakers do better than the Nuggets in the game of basketball. Denver has trailed at halftime in all three games and came back to win them all. The Lakers know they are dead in the water and I don't expect a great effort from them. That said, there's really only one of two game scripts I see playing out. The Lakers do come out with energy and lead at halftime and then actually hold onto the lead to not get swept or, the Nuggets have a lead at half - likely a sizeable one - and the Lakers fold and lose. It certainly could happen for the fourth straight game that LA leads at the half and blows it again, but Denver is the much better team. And they've proven it. We get a favorable number here so we will try to take advantage. I would play this as a straight play against the spread to -2, but why risk that it does land on one when the money line price is at a manageable number. Denver should come out early and look to crush the Lakers spirits and walk out with a sweep.
