(919) Houston Astros at (920) Chicago Cubs
After a few days off in the MLB, I've gathered some info and jumped back in, ready to get on a heater. The Astros struggles are clear as day right now. They rank #3 in batting average but #20 in runs scored; they need help bringing runners home. Pitching hasn't been great for the Astors this season overall. Still, luckily for them, Verlander takes the mound today following a solid season debut against the Nationals last week, where he gave up two hits over six innings of work. Assad goes for the Cubs, who has looked sharp. Assad has gone nearly 5.0 innings in each of his 4 outings and has yet to surrender more than 2 earned runs, good for a 2.11 ERA. This game should feature outstanding pitching and two offences that will struggle to get runners in scoring position all afternoon. Look for a low-scoring game in the final game of this series.
