The quotes tell us exactly who we want our money on in Game 3 as the series shifts to Orlando.  The Magic shot 36% and scored only 86 points in Game 2 on the heels of an 83 point outing in the opener on 32% shooting.  The Cavs sure sound a little ‘fat and happy’ with a 2-0 series lead – a spot Cleveland has NOT been in with any of their current roster.  Jarrett Allen: “It's very satisfying.  It shows that we've grown not only as a team but as individuals. We're not folding under pressure. We do have our moments, but as a whole I feel like we've taken a huge step.”

Contrast that ‘fat and happy’ quote with this hungry one from Orlando’s All Star Paolo Banchero: “We’ve got to make shots, that’s the name of the game.  It’s frustrating for everybody when you keep shooting and it’s not going in. The way these two games have gone, I don’t think anyone thinks this will continue when we come home.”

And frankly, Jarrett Allen knows what’s coming: “We know when we go to their place, they’re going to be a completely different team. They’re going to have their home crowd behind them. They don’t want it to get to 3-0. They’re just going to try to come at us like we’ve been doing to them.”

Home favorites down 0-2 in a Playoff Series attract betting attention in the NBA Playoffs every year because they are long term ‘positive expectation’ wagers – that team tends to dig deep; their opponent doesn’t have that same ‘go for the jugular’ mentality. No surprise that we’ve seen Orlando $$ this morning – the Magic had a STRONG homecourt this season, 29-12 SU, including four straight wins to close out the regular season; including blowouts over Milwaukee and Chicago – playoff caliber opposition. Short chalk worth laying!  Take the Magic.
