The Yankees might be starting to come around offensively at home as they have put up 11 runs on the hapless A's in the last couple of games. Now they get their whacks at Alex Wood. We bet against Alex a lot last season when he was a member of SF. Now he is in the American League and he has been taking a beating. Alex is sporting a nasty 7.89 ERA with a WHIP of OVER 2. As long as they do not look ahead to this weekend (they play Milwaukee) we believe they will beat up Alex and get up and OVER the 4 1 /2 runs. Pretty sure I thought Wood was not going to make it with a team this year, but here we are. Another bad performance and Wood could be on his way out. No need to post the Yankees starter, although we do post for Wood to start. As it is necessary for him to start for this play to be a winner.
