The bottom line here is this is a nightmare matchup for the Kings. They are one of the slowest teams in the league, playing the fastest team and they just can’t slow the Oilers down. This Oiler team has won 3 in a row against the Kings, and 7 of their last 8 matchups. The reason is simple, they can’t slow the Oilers down and their 1-3-1 defensive strategy just does not work. When you know the offense goes through 97 and you set up a game plan to stop him and he gets 5 assists you know you are doing something wrong. The Oilers had 45 shots on the Kings last game - there have been a few games already this playoff where both teams combined have not had 45 shots. This is a horrible mismatch and I would not be surprised if the Kings get swept in this series.
