NHL - Los Angeles Kings at Edmonton Oilers 

Game Thoughts: Game 2 of this series and the Oilers got off to a dream start with a 7-4 win in G1 jumping on the Kings early. It was a game in which the analytics and xG numbers mirrored what we saw on the ice and the Kings did get better in the final 30 minutes of that one and created plenty of scoring opportunities (3.24 xG from the 2nd period on) which I believe signals a better game from them and some continued scoring from these two. 70 scoring chances combined and 39 high danger chances highlight what we saw from both. Through 4 regular season meetings and 1 playoff meeting these teams have generated 34.98 expected goals or 6.99 per game. Expecting another offensive game from the Oilers as well as some push back from the Kings on Wednesday night.
