(953) Philadelphia Phillies at (954) Cincinnati Reds
The Phillies are red hot, winners of 6 straight after sweeping both Colorado and the White Sox. Their offense has finally come to life, as they’ve scored 31 runs in their past 4 games. That streak will continue Monday as they head to Cincinnati to open a 4 game set. Ranger Suarez takes the mound fresh off a complete game shutout. He hasn’t allowed a run in either of his past 2 outings and the Phillies have won all 4 of his starts this season. It’s no surprise that the analytics for Suarez are sensational, most notably a wOBA of .218 and a hard hit rate sitting at just 25.4%. The results have been quite the opposite when Hunter Greene pitches, as the Reds have lost every time he’s toed the rubber. Greene hasn’t pitched all that poorly, but the one time he faced an elite lineup he was tagged for 6 earned against Milwaukee. He can have command issues at times and with the “current form” Philly is in we want them in our pocket tonight. Take the Phillies.
